Kefir is an amazing food on its own but when you strain it and add a few simple ingredients to it, it becomes addictive! This is by far one of my favorite (and most people who try) ways to eat kefir. Use it as a dip for raw veggies, fresh sourdough bread, top cooked salmon with it or use it in chicken salad. The possibilities are endless!
3/4 cup Kefir cheese (strained kefir)
3/4 cup Cultured Sour Cream (homemade or store bought)
2 tsp Dried Dill
1 Tbs Fresh Dill, minced
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Unrefined Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
Combine all ingredients and stir to blend well.
Serve immediately or chill to allow flavors to develop.
Things to try: Use all kefir cheese. Adjust the seasonings to your liking. Sub fresh garlic and/or onion for the powders.
