About the event
Gut health and overall health are intricately and intrinsically connected. All health and disease begin in the gut. We will discuss what gut health is, what it does for us and tools we can use to support it and experience whole health and full life. Living Foods, like real sourdough bread, are one of the tools we have.
In this class you will get to sample and taste a variety of fermented foods and drinks and fresh bread from the oven! You will learn about fermentation and the benefits, the history of bread, the benefits of real sourdough and the process of making a loaf. We will discuss different types of grains and flour you can use for bread making and the benefits of each one. And because bread baking can seem overwhelming, we will also look at a sample baking schedule and discuss how you can fit it into your life.
You will get to make your own dough ball to take home, rise and bake. You will also take home your own mature heirloom sourdough starter to keep on baking! Please bring a large bowl and an apron with you to class.
I look forward to meeting you and seeing you soon!
