About the event
Come and learn what living foods are. You will get to sample a variety of fermented foods such as kombucha, kefir, fermented vegetables, sourdough bread and more. You will learn about the process of fermentation, why it's so beneficial and the process of making kombucha and real sourdough bread and why they are so beneficial.
On Sunday afternoon at the Shooting Star Museum, I will be offering a Kombucha class and on Sunday evening, a Cell Salt class.
Kombucha is a wonderful fermented beverage that can help you kick the soda habit. It is a living food not only because it contains living properties, but because it promotes a healthy, divers gut microbiome also! You will get to sample some kombucha and take home a kombucha starter kit with the option to purchase a brewing jar.
Cell salts are a simple list of 12 homeopathic medicines that are easy to learn and can be used to treat a wide range of common conditions and ailments in your home and family. You will learn what homeopathy is and how to use it, as well as get an in depth look at each individual cell salt.
Monday morning at Marge's house, I will be offering a Hands On Sourdough Bread class.
You will also learn about real sourdough bread, the history of bread, different grains and flours and the process of making a loaf. We will discuss the benefits of real sourdough bread and why it should be a part of your diet and taste from fresh bread from the oven!
Additionally, you will get to make and take home your own dough ball to rise and bake at home and a mature sourdough starter to keep baking.
